The CE mark procedure is first of all characterized by the identification of the reference normative and by the check of its applicability. Then there's the test execution in proper "measure environments" (open site, anechoic and semianechoic chamber, GTEM cell), or by the production or installation place, as by article 10.2 of the law 89/336/EEC.
The directive itself often allows departing from the imposed methodologies, for example because of the physical dimensions or because of the contrasts between the nature of the testing device and the tests to execute.
